So much to be Thankful for......

As Thanksgiving approaches I have realized there is so much to be thankful for. I know I complain at times about different things irritations at work, not having this or that, minor health issues and so on. Then after I have complained about said things I feel really guilty because I think of others who are less fortunate than me and how much I really do have. So that being said I am thankful for so many things and here are just a few of them.

  • Truth
  • The Love of God
  • A relationship with God
  • Family
  • A loving Husband
  • True Blue Friends (you know who you are)
  • Good Health
  • A home to live in
  • A job although it may not be the job I want to do forever it is a job
  • Memories of times spent with loved ones who have gone on to eternity

There is so much to be thankful for not only at this time of year but everyday of the year. So I was wondering what are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Flu Season Fun

Wow it looks like it has been months since I have bantered and or reflected on anything. I have been a horrible blogger recently. Not a whole lot to banter about lately but work and who wants to hear about my work and everything that goes on there. Ummm probably nobody and it has been really busy at work lately with flu season kicking into high gear. That makes for lots of long hours everyday of the week and I mean every single day. Hopefully now that flu vaccinations are winding down somewhat I can do a little better at blogging.

Here are just a few hilarity's from patients as of late:

One guy says to me can I scream when you give my shot, so I say sure you can scream but if you scream I close my eyes and its a blind hit.

Another says is it going to hurt and I say well I will try to make it hurt the least amount I possibly can but somehow God didn't mark every nerve in your arm for me to miss them all.

Another person sits down for there shot and as I start to give them the injection proceeds wiggling all around moving there chair away from me and flailing their arm back and forth and I say you need to hold your arm still or I am going to end up stabbing myself in the hand.

And finally we were at a health fair doing cholesterol checks at a company that had a lot of Hispanics so we had to have a translator and this one guys numbers were off the charts. Way to high, so the Spanish interpreter said to the guy if you don't straighten up and improve your lifestyle you will be needing your coffin sooner rather than later.

LOL!! We have a lot of fun with most of our clients which makes the longer days a little more tolerable to bear.
